Lena Pant in Gauze

Size Guide

If I had to choose a favorite pant that I wear year-round, it would be the Lenas. The high rise, elastic waist, cropped wide leg, and breathable gauze make these pants a true closet workhorse. It is a signature Sotela style that comes back every season.

Material and Care

1. Fabric: Organic Cotton Double Gauze

Fiber Content: 100% Organic Cotton

Description: This double gauze fabric is incredibly soft and flowy. It is lightweight and breathable, a light breeze will give this fabric movement. Double gauze is made up of two layers of fine gauze seamlessly tacked together making it opaque. We recommend wearing skin colored undergarments with the white double gauze.

Care: Wash cold on delicate cycle and hang dry. The Earth and your garments will thank you!

Fantastic pant, so soft and comfy!

I’m a huge fan of the [****] pant in linen but I honestly love the cotton gauze more. I have this pant in black and lavender and it is very soft, fits extremely well and does not wrinkle like linen does. I also got the Paloma shirt in black and together they make for a very comfy and chic late summer/early fall outfit. I would love to see the cotton gauze offered next summer in different colors. It’s definitely superior fabric!!!

So comfy!

Absolutely love the fit, color (lavender), and material (gauze). Super breezy and comfy all around!

Best pants I’ve ever worn

I bought these in two colors: terra and lavender and they’re the only pants I wear these days. I tend to hold my weight in my stomach and I have a pouch and these pants are super flattering. They’re super comfy and nice enough to dress up and down. The elastic on the waist is super comfortable. I’ve worn them around the house and at work. I like pairing these with the blouses in the matching color for a 2-piece set moment and I always feel awesome and get a lot of compliments.

Sotela's approach to sizing is a little different. Instead of using the conventional small, medium and large, we've decided to change our wording because why not! We want to keep things simple and offer the most out of your clothing.

Here's a step by step of how to choose your Sotela size:

  1. Measure yourself – This one is very important if you shop online, which as of now, I think we all are! Check out our tutorial to measure yourself because we use low hip measurements with our clothing.
  2. Once you have your measurements, go to the product page for the garment you are interested in and click on the “Sizing and fit” tab or “Garment Measurements for Petite, etc.”
  3. The garment measurements on the product page will tell you the actual width and length of the garment. For example: the Ryan Trouser measures 26″ with an unstretched waistband and 42″ in the hip for the size 1.
  4. Based on your measurements, choose a size that is about 2″ more than your largest measurement. For example: I have a 39″ hip. The size 1 hip measures 42″ which gives me about 3″ of ease. The size 0 measures 40″ in the hip making it too small for me.
  5. Make sure to use your largest measurement when choosing a size, especially if you are looking at a jumpsuit or dress. If your bust is larger than your hip, I’d recommend choosing a size based on your bust because that ensures it will give sufficient ease for the rest of your body.
  6. Lastly, if you are still unsure, email us hello (at) with your measurements! We are happy to recommend a size.
