Welcome! My name is Hanna Baror-Padilla and I'm the founder of Sotela. Before launching Sotela, I was an ethical fashion blogger for several years learning the ins and outs of American manufacturing, eco-friendly fabrics, and sustainable apparel.

In 2014, I started dreaming of my own sustainable clothing line that would be locally produced with eco-friendly fabrics. It wasn't until the following year that I knew what kind of clothing I wanted to design.

In 2015, I started having digestive issues that led to inexplicable bloating for 8 months.  I couldn't wear the majority of my clothes because they were too tight and uncomfortable. I woke up everyday dreading my morning routine of staring at my closet with nothing to wear.

That made me think about how often women experience the same frustrated routine of trying to find something that fits.

This is why I created Sotela. I believe women should reach into their closets and have multiple pieces that will always fit, and better yet, make her feel beautiful.

Sotela is a clothing brand for women by women.

Our clothing is the answer to a closet where nothing fits and the time wasted trying to find something that does.  Women's bodies change all the time —we get bloated, pregnant, lose weight, gain weight—but the fit of our clothes doesn't often reflect that physical reality. Every piece spans multiple sizes leaving room for our dynamic bodies to stretch and grow in the beautiful, natural ways they do.
